Charming her way into the hearts of folk, Americana and country fans alike, maritime songstress Lynnea Rose has graced audiences from coast to coast, sharing with them her beautiful voice, heartfelt songwriting and genuine stage presence. Since the release of her self titled debut album in 2013, Lynnea Rose has toured across Canada multiple times, has had her music featured on internationally acclaimed TV show Hope for Wildlife, and has earned herself a Music NS Award Nomination for her Sophomore album “Rocking Chair”.

 

Born and raised in Granville Beach, Nova Scotia as an eighth generation Armstrong, it's easy to hear where her musical inspirations lie. Her deep connection to her Celtic heritage and East Coast is clearly evident in songs like "Fundy Shore", "By the Sea" and "Bad Winter". Stylistically, Lynnea Rose has been compared to Alison Krauss with her song-writing reminiscent of Brandi Carlile and Gillian Welch.

 

In 2015, Lynnea Rose teamed up with award winning producers Tom Terrell (Modern Grass) and Karl Falkenham (CBC) to record her sophomore album “Rocking Chair” which earned her a 2017 Music Nova Scotia Award nomination for “Americana Recording”. Described as “really quite brilliant” by the late great Mitch Podolak (Founder of Winnipeg Folk Fest and Canadian Folk Music Awards) “Rocking Chair” landed Rose as a touring artist for Canada's house concert touring series “Home Routes”, where she performed her way through Northern Alberta and Southern BC.

 

Navigating the uncertain waters of the music industry during a pandemic, Lynnea Rose is focusing in on honing her craft as a songwriter as well as performing locally in her home province. In the final stages of writing her third studio album, Rose plans to begin recording process in Summer 2021.
